Southern Chester County A suggested sequence
Stone country and a cultivated landscape
Set a morning among Nottingham’s serpentine barrens beside a ticketed visit to Longwood’s gardens.
These public landscapes hold different histories: at Nottingham, quarrying and chromite work left visible traces among rare barrens; at Longwood, farm and horticultural land has been repeatedly reshaped. The stops are individually planned, not treated as one connected site.
